This statement explains the general enquiry and newsletter forms on the Exhale Freediving & Spearfishing website.

What the enquiry form collects

The form asks for your name, email address, the activity or product you are interested in, your preferred location, a broad indication of your experience, and your message. Your name, email and message are needed to respond to the enquiry. You can phone instead if you prefer not to use the form.

Newsletter sign up

If you choose to join the Exhale newsletter, your email address is used to send Exhale updates, including upcoming courses and trips, freediving and spearfishing news, new journal posts, products and occasional ideas from Brendon and Craig. Newsletter sign up is optional and separate from making an enquiry or purchase. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.

How your enquiry is used

The details are used to respond, discuss suitable courses or services and organise the next steps you request. Submitting the general enquiry form does not subscribe you to marketing and does not confirm a booking.

The website, customer records and forms use Shopify. These services may involve processing outside New Zealand. Shopify’s own privacy information explains its platform processing.

Keep medical details separate

Please do not enter diagnoses, medication details, medical certificates or other sensitive health information in the general enquiry form. Ask for a private suitability discussion. Any required screening is handled separately from the general website enquiry.

Your information and your rights

You can ask what personal information Exhale holds about you and request access or correction. Contact Exhale using the details below. Identity checks may be needed before information is released. Information should be kept only for as long as reasonably required for its purpose and applicable legal obligations.
