Exhale / Towards Five
Towards Five
A possible goal. Not a deadline.
A five minute breath hold might be an ambition. It is a developed improvement, not the first thing to train, and it is not a result anyone can promise you. Towards Five is our planned coached progression for people who want a more structured approach to their breath hold practice.
Start with the person
The proposed pathway begins with suitability and an honest view of your experience. From there, the focus is on preparation, appropriate practice, feedback and review. The plan should change when your response, health or circumstances call for it.
Progress you can understand
The programme is intended to use original Exhale training resources, individual goals and ongoing review. Detailed tables, session structure, supervision arrangements, duration and pricing are still being finalised and will be supplied before enrolment.
We are not selling a generic maximum effort challenge. A longer static breath hold is not proof that it is safe to spend longer underwater while spearfishing.
Before any training
Medical suitability and appropriate instruction come first. Never practise underwater breath holding alone, including in a pool or bath. Do not use hyperventilation to extend a hold. Dry practice must also take place in a suitable setting and follow an appropriately agreed plan, never while driving or operating equipment.
Register interest to discuss whether the pathway fits your goals. This is not a PADI certification or a confirmed programme booking.
