Step away from the rush and give your diving some proper attention. Exhale Deep Week in the Bay of Islands is a week built around depth practice, useful coaching and the chance to explore without making every dive a test.

Find a better rhythm at the surface. Refine your equalisation and movement. Build the preparation, recovery and buddy habits that make your diving more consistent.

A week shaped around your diving

The focus is supervised depth training and practical feedback, with sessions matched to your current experience and goals. The final timetable will balance training, review, recovery and suitable opportunities to explore. Conditions and the group’s needs guide the plan.

You do not have to be chasing a qualification or a personal best. Come to work on your skills and enjoy the water. Beginners need an agreed introductory course pathway rather than joining advanced depth sessions without the foundations.

Optional PADI qualification pathways

Ask about adding PADI Freediver, PADI Advanced Freediver or PADI Master Freediver training to your visit. We agree the appropriate level, instructor, timetable and additional cost before you book.

Each qualification has its own prerequisites and requires completion of the knowledge, confined water, open water and safety assessments. A week’s attendance does not automatically complete any course or qualify you for every level.

The Master Freediver option is subject to a suitably rated instructor being arranged and your eligibility being confirmed. It is not a confirmed inclusion in the standard Deep Week offer.

Explore the Canterbury with our mates

We are planning an optional visit to the HMNZS Canterbury with our mates at Dive Zone Bay of Islands. Come for the training, or ask about joining for an exploration day.

The visit depends on operator availability, conditions and your suitability for the proposed diving. Any freediving visit is planned as external exploration, not entry into enclosed parts of the wreck. A separate exploration booking and price will be confirmed before you commit.

Add more time in the water

Ask about extra coached sessions and a proposed offshore spearfishing day to finish the week. The spearfishing site, boat arrangements, participant requirements and additional price are still to be confirmed. It is optional, not a guaranteed departure or part of the Canterbury visit.

Any spearfishing will be at a lawful site, respecting current restrictions and rāhui. The Canterbury visit is for exploration, not spearfishing.

Accommodation, meals, travel, boat trips, equipment hire, venue charges, learning materials and certification fees are not assumed to be included unless listed in your confirmed offer.
